Tesla has secured an 8,200 square foot retail space within Worldmark 3, situated in Delhi’s Aerocity, under a nine-year lease agreement.

Following the eagerly awaited debut of its first Indian store in Mumbai, Tesla has now extended its presence with a new showroom in Delhi. This outlet, positioned in Aerocity’s Worldmark 3 complex near Indira Gandhi International Airport, will showcase the Model Y crossover, which is imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from China.

The lease for the 8,200 sq ft premises in Aerocity was registered on July 30, with monthly rent starting at Rs 17.22 lakh (approximately Rs 210 per sq ft) and subject to a 15% increment every three years, as reported by real estate consultancy CRE Matrix.

Tesla Model Y Variants

In India, the Model Y is available in two bespoke variants: the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) featuring a 60 kWh battery and the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive equipped with a 75 kWh battery.

The standard RWD model offers an estimated driving range of 500 kilometers and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The Long Range RWD extends the range to 622 kilometers and boasts a quicker 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.6 seconds. Both variants reach a maximum speed of 201 km/h, come fitted with 19-inch crossflow alloy wheels, and support Tesla’s Supercharging technology, which can add up to 267 kilometers of range within just 15 minutes of charging.

Price Structure and Features

Ex-showroom prices commence at Rs 59.89 lakh for the standard RWD and Rs 67.89 lakh for the Long Range RWD. Tesla’s advanced Full Self-Driving (FSD) package is offered as an optional add-on at an additional cost of Rs 6 lakh.

Customers can choose from six exterior colors, with Stealth Grey provided as the default. The cabin features a five-seat configuration, available with either black or white upholstery. Comfort amenities include heated seats in both front and rear rows, along with ventilated seats for the front occupants.

V4 Superchargers

Located within the showroom’s basement parking area are four V4 Superchargers, designed to offer faster and more efficient charging experiences. Tesla plans to deploy these advanced V4 Superchargers at several key sites, including Saket, Noida, and Origin, strategically enhancing accessibility for electric vehicle owners.

Charging Costs and Speed

The V4 Supercharger delivers DC fast charging at a rate of ₹24 per kilowatt-hour. For AC charging at a rate of 11 kW, the cost is ₹11 per kWh. With this advanced V4 Supercharger, the newly launched Tesla Model Y can gain enough power in just 15 minutes to travel approximately 267 kilometers. This rapid charging capability significantly enhances convenience for Tesla owners seeking efficient, cost-effective energy replenishment.

Booking Details

Reservations for the Tesla Model Y can be made through the official Tesla India website or directly at the brand’s showrooms in Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram.

Currently, deliveries and vehicle registrations are facilitated only in these three cities, with the first handovers expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025.
